Tap Styles

Tapered tap – often called “starting” taps because they help to start threads in a hole.

Plug Tap – often called middle tap can be used to get to the bottom of a blind hole similar to a bottom tap. Plug Tap can be used to start a thread without using a tapper tap first.

Bottom tap – they help to tap out the bottom of a blind hole.
